Spectrochem was born in 1984 to meet the challenges of chemistry, and were the first to introduce High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) systems across laboratories in India. Family owned, they are recognized and respected for developing fine chemicals for research. Revolutionizing chemical technology, their mission is to be the first choice of every Chemist for laboratory and fine chemicals, striving to achieve total quality management (TQM) in all aspects of their business.
In search of a brand image refresh and new website design, Spectrochem asked Aumcore to generate a solution for their revolutionary concept. They wanted to maintain the heritage of their distinct reputation with fresh outlook, while expanding into a previously unknown avenue in chemical science – environment conservation, proving once again that Spectrochem truly stands out of the box of traditional chemistry manufacturing.
With open communication and a shared vision, Spectrochem gave us a lot of freedom in design and innovation. We created a website design that was interactive and animated to display the modern vision of Spectrochem, while ensuring a user-friendly experience for consumers with optimized UX and UI. The new design also communicated their success to consumers in an organized and informational manner, bringing world-class attention to their Mission of being the first choice for chemists in India and the being the most admired company in the specialty of laboratory and fine chemicals.
Imagery and color palette was created in such a way that maintained the scientific mastery of their profession, while illustrating their efforts in going green and maintaining environmentally safe practices and fine chemicals. In the process of creating a full solution re-branding campaign, we also created banners, stationery, exhibition display, website design, catalog design, and a fresh logo update while maintaining a nod to the heritage design.
Through innovative design to communicate an innovative organization – we were successfully able to show Spectrochem in a way formerly unseen in the chemical industry – setting them apart from their competition. The created catalog was not only informative (listing over 2K chemicals), but so beautiful that over 20K copies were printed – many of which were kept not as a catalog or medical journal, but rather a learning magazine shared on tables and offices.
Through the new dynamic website design, Spectrochem received several dozen dealer inquiries shortly after launch, grew their client base, and received multiple comments on the informative, fresh, dynamic design. The brand refresh and website design showed Spectrochem as a revolutionary chemical manufacture that not only produces best chemicals, but also considers safety, health and environment protection as an integral part of their management policy.
