Founded back in 2013, the Apotheco Pharmacy Group is an innovative access platform that specializes in personalized dermatology care that strives to help everyone look and feel their best. Through connecting patients and providers with their expertise and educational resources, Apotheco has established themselves as trusted industry thought leaders when it comes to dermatology.
What initially started as a small team operating out of just one pharmacy, they have grown rapidly to now having 15 locations in the US with many more on the horizon. Following recent funding from WAUD Capital, Apotheco Pharmacy was looking to take their brand to the next level; this is where we stepped in to help.
SOLUTION
Following our initial discovery process and digital strategy sessions - which we do for all our clients - we found that having 15 different websites, the core Apotheco brand identity was unfortunately going missing. To combat this issue, we began creating an initial landing page to better tell the brand’s story and focus on the key values that Apotheco Pharmacy stood for.
Creating a personalized, scalable website ecosystem using custom WordPress CMS platform in which each location had their own individual microsite focusing on the specific services and treatments available, it allowed customers to better connect and engage with Apotheco Pharmacy itself. Furthermore, this new website design featured a HIPAA compliant chat integration whereby consumers could consult with a qualified individual regarding any advice or to refill their prescriptions, vastly improving the overall user experience of the website.
With the design and website now fully optimized, it was important to continue to drive brand awareness and engagement to the specific locations. This is where our intimate knowledge of #HealthySEO™ practices became a powerful resource.
Through suggesting and implementing a strong SEO strategy which consists of monthly SEO activities that both highlight and display the brands dermatological know-how, we knew we could drive quality traffic to Apotheco’s sites and better fulfill customer needs.
RESULTS
The results, they speak for themselves. Through streamlining their website design, connecting all their different pharmacy locations into one centralized ecosystem and building content plans founded upon good SEO practices, we are able to drive engaged, high-quality users to the specific locations that Apotheco wanted.
As for web traffic and SEO, we started by fixing technical issues and implementing a content syndication strategy to get Apotheco’s website ready for the imminent spike in traffic. Starting with total visits abroad and in the US, overall website traffic increased by over 250% and Domain Authority Score Improved from 9 to 34. Apotheco Pharmacy new site received growth from specific sources of traffic:
- Organic traffic increased by almost 248%.
- Direct traffic jumped to almost 219%.
- And referral traffic astoundedly surged by 1183%.
Everyone should be able to get the dermatological care they want easily, and with the redesigning and refocusing of Apotheco’s brand; this is now the case.
