If you live in a new house in the US, chances are 1 in 3 that your home was built using their products, and they continue to keep the lights on for their customers, employees, and communities in a powerful way. As Southwire’s marketing strategy continued to evolve with the ever-changing current of innovation, it was time for them to go mobile.
They challenged Aumcore with developing a series of mobile applications to reinforce their relationship with their tech savvy customer base, providing them with helpful tools for all of their future cable and wire projects.
Our first established thought: Let’s electrify, not electrocute. And working on high voltage, it would be critical the mobile applications be technically accurate and easy to use. We began conducting research in the power industry to learn the trade, and what tools may be useful for the consumers, working closely with the Southwire team. Generating products for commercial, residential, industrial, and utility applications – Southwire’s target audience is diverse, and would require multiple applications to satisfy the unique needs of each customer base.
Power in the lines, it was time for output. We created several sophisticated interfaces varying from a commercial catalog to voltage calculators. With Aumcore’s mobile application designs, Southwire customers could now receive answers regarding specific products, what size conduit to safely use, calculate wire size for circuits based on voltage drop and current capacity, and provide commercial data including current stock numbers, search functions and more.
As a result, Aumcore enhanced the company’s value and reputation with its building contractors and engineers as the “smart” company, making lives of Southwire customers easier and simplified, fully charged with a digital tool-belt to get the job done.
